Mark’s Church or St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church is the first Coptic church that was built and established in the Heliopolis district of Cairo, and being one of the many Coptic Orthodox churches in Heliopolis, it is located precisely on Cleopatra Street, near Cleopatra Hospital. The church was characterized by a Gothic architectural design, as it extends over a spacious area and includes a number of distinctive facilities such as domes, prayer rooms, muqarnas, arches, and pointed ceilings, which give visitors and worshipers a sense of grandeur.
