The Basilica of St. James is a 12th-century Romanesque church located in the center of the old town, and is considered the oldest temple in A Coruña. The church has a unique architectural design, as the main entrance contains a window of roses from the late fourteenth century, and inside there are ancient tombs and a stone pulpit from the seventeenth century, interesting Roman altars have been preserved, and images of the Virgin and Child stand out on the walls of the church.
