The Parish Church of St. Ignatius, also known as the Water City Parish Church (known locally as the Church with the Two Towers) is located in Mindzanti Square in the main square of the Water City. The building is an outstanding work of Hungarian Baroque architecture. The Jesuits appeared in the water town of Esztergom in 1686 and built the present Baroque church in honor of Saint Ignatius of Loyola (gnatius of Loyola) between 1728 and 1738 at the former Water Gate.
