The construction of St. George’s Church, located on top of a hill in the beautiful town of Ruhpolding, began in 1738 AD. It has a beautiful architectural design in the shimmering golden Rococo style with a high altar adorned with carved figures of saints. Among the most important church sculptures is the Roman Madonna statue from the twelfth century. This church is a place of great religious significance for the residents of the area.
