St. George's Church is a historic baroque church located in the heart of the Åland Islands. It is an ancient church that was built between 1672 and 1678. Surrounding the church is a maze of ancient narrow alleys that photographers from all over the world come to take pictures. The church was built on the ruins of another church whose first mention in historical manuscripts dates back to the year 1250. The church is decorated in a medieval style, where visitors will find gilded columns, wonderful drawings, distinctive statues, and others.
