Information about St Aegidien Churc
The Church of St. Egeden is one of the smallest churches in the city of Lübeck, it was built during the twelfth century between 1172-1182, it underwent many restorations after that, but it still retains the main ancient architectural elements in it, as the roof was restored after it was damaged By a shell during the Battle of Lübeck in 1806, the outer garden was also renovated after the area around the church was badly damaged during the March 1942 air raid on the city. From the inside, the church has a beautiful architectural design, as its walls are adorned with a rich collection of paintings, in addition to reliefs and decorations.
