Information about Spring and Autumn Pavilions
Among the most famous tourist attractions in Kaohsiung is the Spring and Autumn Pavilions. It is a Taoist temple complex located on the famous Lotus Lake. It was built in 1953 next to the Chi Ming Palace. It consists of two wings in the style of a Chinese palace. Legend has it that the Goddess of Mercy She appeared above the clouds in the sky of the palace and asked her followers to build a monument for her in the middle of the spring and autumn wings dedicated to the god of war. They built a dragon in the middle of the two buildings decorated with green and golden yellow.
