St. Lawrence Church is a former Catholic church in Alkmaar, and its history dates back to the period between 1440-1512 AD, making it one of the oldest churches in the Netherlands. It was designed in the Gothic style, and is considered one of the most beautiful ancient buildings in the city, as it contains many paintings belonging to international artists, and also includes a permanent exhibition that specializes in clarifying the history of the church.
