About a 90-minute drive northeast of Ubud is the emerald-colored Seidman Valley, which reflects the feel of old Balinese before the tourist crowds flock to the island. Rice terraces, cocoa and coffee plantations abound in this valley, and cloud-covered Mount Agung looms in the background with a scenic view, and the locals still tend to their traditional activities in this valley.
