A prominent riverside temple to Shiva, known for its real gold plated tower in the eighteenth century and a sacred well. This temple is visited by a large number of locals and tourists due to its historical and religious Hindu significance. It is one of the temples dedicated to Shiva. The temple complex consists of a series of smaller shrines, which are located in a small lane called Vishwanath Jali near the river. The Kashi Vishwanath temple receives about 3000 visitors per day, and on certain occasions the numbers reach a million visitors and more.
