Lake Sera is one of the most important and distinctive natural areas in Trabzon and Akcaabat. It is located within the boundaries of Yildiz district, 12 km from Trabzon and 8 km from Akcaabat, with a length of 1200 meters, width of 150 meters and the deepest point of 20 meters. Lake Sera was formed as a result of landslides in 1950 AD, and it was declared a natural park in 2010 AD. It includes daily recreational facilities for local and foreign visitors spread on the banks of the lake where you can walk and picnic. There are walking paths, playgrounds and shaded wooden squares, and there are many restaurants, cafes and kiosks.
