The Schiller Garden Museum is located in the house in which the German poet and philosopher Friedrich Schiller lived with his family from 1797 to 1799 AD, and is one of the two remaining houses in which Schiller lived in Jena. Converted into a museum displaying Schiller's past life, art and poetry, as well as a collection of his historical belongings, the park is used as an open space for research and discussion at the university.
