Savikaja Square is the central square of Grodno, Belarus. The square gained its fame in the past, as the Murlough House, one of the leaders of the revolution, was in the square, and it briefly became the seat of the government of the Belarusian Democratic Republic in 1919, after the government left Minsk to escape the approach of the Russian Red Army. Today, this square is the most important square of the city, where celebrations are held and the Christmas tree is lit annually.
