Sanskar Kendra mainly consists of two separate museums: the City Museum and the Kite Museum or Patang Museum. The City Museum focuses on the historical, cultural, economic, and political aspects of the city through its collection of fine artwork and artifacts, as well as documents of historical interest. The second museum is dedicated solely to the ancient subcontinental tradition of kite flying, which is known to hold some kind of spiritual meaning for the people of the subcontinent.
