The Church of Madonna d'Ungero is located in the south of Lugano and in the middle of a forest full of tall trees. The building was built in the seventeenth century, and the interior is filled with stucco details on the walls and in the vault, which were executed by the artist Alessandro Casella, a very active and famous artist, especially in Italy, and there are many other artworks belonging to other artists, including Giuseppe Antonio Petrini.
