Sakhir Palace is one of the most prominent historical monuments in Bahrain. The palace is located in the desert area of Sakhir, to the northeast of the village of Zallaq. Its construction dates back to 1901 and was the residence of the ruler of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The palace has amazing architecture in the traditional Islamic style adopted in the Middle East, characterized by its bright white walls, high towers and prominent arches. Today, many important events and receptions are held at the palace in Bahrain.
