Saiysad National Park is located northeast of the city of Taif and is considered one of the most important tourist areas in Saudi Arabia, distinguished by its beautiful nature. The park stands out as a nature reserve surrounded by mountains covered with dense trees and vast green spaces, and is also characterized by its natural springs. Sisd National Park is characterized by the confluence of a number of valleys in the region, such as Wadi Al-Araj and Wadi Sisd, in addition to the well-known Wadi Al-Araj. The park got its name because of its association with the famous archaeological dam of Seysad, which was built by the companion Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan in 677 AD. The area was restored with its antiquities during 1998 AD, then it was opened to start receiving visitors in 1999 AD.
