St. Patrick's Street was designed in the early eighteenth century by wealthy merchants who made the area a major center for shopping in Cork, and the street continues to be a major attraction for shoppers to this day, as it includes a large number of shops, restaurants and cafes that attract visitors from different regions. It is a few minutes away from the famous English Market, and it also includes many monuments worth visiting and exploring, including St. Patrick's Bridge, which dates back to 1786.
