Information about Sailors' Mosque
The Sailors’ Mosque was built in the municipality of Ulcinj by Ibrahim Pasha al-Bushati al-Ashkoduri, who was seriously wounded in the Battle of Crosi in 1796. He built this mosque to express his gratitude to God for his recovery. This name, and in 1931 it was destroyed by the army of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia on the pretext that it was not suitable for the region, and after eight decades it was rebuilt, and today it is the most beautiful building belonging to Islamic architecture in Montenegro with its minaret that is 26 meters high.
