Information about Pink Zsolnay Exhibition
Pink household utensils were the first mass-produced goods to replace handmade crockery, items that were often used by the middle class in the kitchen, by the wash-basin, and at the table. The color was introduced by Vilmos Zsolnay's experiments in the 1870s, and the pink palette became a kind of fashion color and trademark of the Beach Factory; A hundred years later, Barnabás Winkler noticed a jug of pink wine in a family heirloom collecting roses for decades. In 2010 he handed over his collection to Peach; Today, the permanent exhibition displays 1,200 rosettes from the early period of the factory as a result of a special experiment by Vilmos Zsolnay.
