Located just 30 kilometers northeast of Budapest, Godolo's Royal Palace is the Hungarian equivalent of Versailles. This palace - the second largest baroque castle in the world - was built at the beginning of the 18th century, and in 1867 it was purchased by the king during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It became the favorite summer residence of the royal family, especially Queen Elizabeth who loved to spend her time there, and it is worth noting that the palace resembles a double U-shape and is surrounded by a huge garden.
