The Royal Opera House is an old building that was renovated and reopened in October 2016. It is the only surviving opera house in India, and a distinguished cultural center where people can learn about Indian music and how it has been linked to opera throughout history, and these lectures are given by Indian professors and musicians with many years of experience in the field. In this building, amazing opera performances are held throughout the year, and these performances are hosted by local and international artists. The Royal Opera House, Mumbai won the Prize of Merit at the 2017 UNESCO Cultural Heritage Awards in the Asia Pacific region.
