The museum displays a collection of jewelry of the ruling families, who ruled Egypt throughout the ages. The museum building is a palace built in 1919 with an area of 4185 square meters, belonging to Princess Fatima al-Zahra, and it was designed according to the European style of buildings in the nineteenth century. The museum includes ten halls, and among the exhibits are: a collection of rare historical artifacts starting from the period of the rule of Muhammad Ali Pasha to Farouk I, a collection belonging to Prince Tawfiq that includes 12 pieces of platinum and gold, a wallet inlaid with gold and diamonds, in addition to the pocket watch of the Ottoman sultans and many more. It is a wonderful jewelry that reflects the luxurious life of rulers and sultans.
