Information about Royal Alcazar of Seville
A magnificent Islamic palace, with distinctive architectural design and decorations. This palace dates back to the Umayyad eras in Andalusia, and after the Muslims left it, it was turned into a home for the Christian King Peter Castiel. Now, it is an exhibition that allows visitors to enter and wander inside, to learn about the architectural beauty of those eras. This palace was originally a fortress built by Muslims, and then turned into a palace for government. The palace is the oldest royal palace currently in use in Europe. In 1987, UNESCO listed it as a World Heritage Site. This palace has many names, including Al-Mu'tamid Ibn Abbad Palace and Seville Palace.
