An amazing church on the island of Gozo that was built in the early 1900s when the townspeople expressed the need for a bigger church in the city. It was built of Maltese limestone in the late Gothic style. It is a very huge church. The inner dome has a diameter of 27 meters, and the height of the dome is 75 meters. It is the third highest unsupported dome in the world. The church was built on the ruins of an old church, and antiquities were collected from that church and placed in a small museum under the modern church called the "Sculpture Museum".
