This magnificent Roman pool is located within the UNESCO World Heritage List of Battir Village. It is an archaeological pool from the Roman period that was established to supply water to its surrounding areas throughout the year. The pool collects rainwater throughout the winter and then pumps it in the summer. In the pond there is also a small waterfall that naturally pumps water to and from the pond.
