Information about Rodosto House
Francis Rákoczy II was the leader of the largest revolt against the Habsburgs in Hungary. After this revolt deteriorated, Rákoczy fled to the Turkish city of Rodosto. The Rodosto house in Kosice is a replica of his residence in exile in this city, and houses an exhibition dedicated to the rebels and to the presentation of his life in exile. In addition to containing contemporary weapons, historical Turkish furniture, pictures of Racoczi's family, and his personal belongings, visitors can admire the large dining room, which houses Racoczi's items.
