Information about Rio Negro Palace
The Rio Negro Cultural Palace was built in an eclectic style in 1903, as the private residence of the wealthy German rubber merchant Karl Waldemar Scholz, one of the most emblematic buildings of this period, which marked the country's economy. The palace served as the seat of the government, and in 1980, it was listed as a state historical and artistic heritage site. Over the years, it has been renovated and restored, and due to its architectural beauty and historical importance, it has been transformed into a cultural center with rooms for parties, exhibitions, book launches and various cultural activities.
