The Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro is a Catholic church in Rio de Janeiro, and is considered the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese in the city. It was built in the period between 1964-1979 AD in a modern style, where its design was inspired by the shape of the pyramids in Egypt, and is characterized by its windows Stained glass that extends from the floor to the ceiling.
