The Rijksmuseum is an art museum located in Amsterdam. It was founded in 1800 AD in The Hague and then moved to Amsterdam in 1808 AD at the request of King Louis Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon Bonaparte. The museum includes more than 200 precious artworks, in addition to statues and models of applied arts, and about 800,000 drawings and paintings by Dutch artists. This museum also tells the story of the Dutch from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century. It contains works by Vermeer, Frans Holz and many others.
