Riihisaari is a unique museum island located off the national landscape of Olavinlinna Castle and offers many themed exhibitions. The museum focuses on the history of southern Savonlinna, with its traditional costumes and furniture, and the museum has an important role in preserving, studying and presenting the history of sailing on Lake Saimaa. In the summer you can visit the city's wonderful museum ships and there is also a nice museum shop.
