A cathedral has existed in the city since 1250, it is the oldest church in Denmark and inevitably one of the historically richest churches in the world. The church is dotted with tall towers and magnificent arched ceilings. The church was initially built of white marble stone and later, through the ages, red bricks and some beautiful Gothic touches were added.
