Located on Devil's Peak in Cape Town, South Africa, the Rhodes Memorial is a memorial to politician Cecil John Rhodes. Where the monument was designed by the famous architect Herbert Baker, the monument consists of a huge staircase with 49 steps where each step is for each year of Rhodes' life, and this staircase leads to a semi-circular balcony to a rectangular U-shaped monument composed of many columns.
