Relief Carinthia Gallery presents a magnificent representation of the landscape where Carinthia and its surroundings are accurately depicted by means of a topographic representation of 182 square metres, the largest sculptural representation of its kind in Europe. The production of a large and accurate representation of the entire province of Carinthia began in 1889 by the then Principal of the Villach School, Ernst Blois, at the General Assembly of the Villach Department of the then German and Austrian Alpine Societies. The city offered the Assembly a place to establish it, and then its manufacture began on April 1, 1891, and this was done by some of the teachers of the technical school and the students who contributed, and the rest of the material costs were paid through donations.
