The Great Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church located in the city center of Madrid, Spain. It was established with the monastery in the thirteenth century AD on the site of a chapel. The cathedral was also designed in neoclassical style in the second half of the eighteenth century. Its dome, 33 meters (108 feet) in diameter and 58 meters (190 feet) in diameter, is more circular than typical domes built in the 18th century. It is the most distinguishing feature of the place, as it has great beauty and is adorned with wonderful paintings by various artists.
