Built by Count Floris V as one of five castles used to control the rebellious West Frisians, Radboud Castle was distinguished by a unique architectural design, including spacious indoor and outdoor courtyards, stone statues, and some relics of war soldiers. The castle houses a museum containing a collection of objects illustrating the building's history and origins, and in the attic, semi-temporary exhibitions provide information on specific topics from medieval life.
