It is the newest museum in Bangkok opened under the royal patronage of Queen Sirikit. It displays European classic exhibitions that tell the story of how Her Majesty the Queen helped transform Thai silk from a local handicraft into a symbol of Thailand. A highlight is the personal collection of dresses designed from Thai textiles by International and local designers, the museum includes: exhibitions, warehouse, teaching studio, library, lecture hall, and the first laboratory specialized in textile preservation in Thailand.
