Information about Quattro fontane
It consists of four fountains dating back to the Italian Renaissance. They were built between 1588 and 1593 AD, commissioned by Pope Sixtus V. The first fountain represents the Tiber River, the second fountain represents the Anini River, and for the last two fountains represent the female deities, Diana (a symbol of chastity) and Juno (a symbol of strength). There are many other accounts that say that it symbolizes some other rivers. The Diana Fountain was designed by the famous painter and architect Pietro da Cortona.
