Guan Kong Temple was built in 1653 as a place of worship for General Guan Yu, who was famous for his patriotism, courage and justice. He lived during the "Three Warring Kingdoms" period of the Han Dynasty of China. The temple is a typical work of Chinese artisans and Vietnamese locals, who handcrafted sophisticated statues and decorations in a colorful temple, filled with red, yellow, and green ornaments that are still exquisite today.
