Azraq Palace is one of the many structures built in Transjordan in the modern era, and is also known as the Blue Castle. This palace is located approximately 100 kilometers to the east of Amman near the city of Azraq. Unlike many other desert castles in the country, Azraq Palace was not abandoned after the death of the Umayyad dynasty, but was used by later dynasties as well. The Azraq Palace is undoubtedly one of the most impressive desert castles, and is considered one of the main attractions for which tourists visit the city of Zarqa.
