The coastal city of Qalhat, located 20 km north of the Omani city of Tyre, is considered the oldest Omani city at all, and it is the first capital of Oman before the entry of Islam to it. Some of them are on top of each other, after they witnessed a devastating earthquake 300 years ago, and what you may find there of surviving evidence is only a very small part of what the earth has swallowed, and the city owns the tomb of "Bibi Maryam", which is one of the most famous monuments in it, and due to its historical importance and richness.
