The Pyramid of Tirana is a unique building, distinguished by its exceptional architecture, and has great cultural significance in the city. Its construction began in 1987 and was completed shortly before the fall of communism. This building was intended to be a museum honoring the authoritarian dictator Enver Hoxha who ruled the country from 1944-1985, but of course these plans were discontinued after 1990.
