Set in the midst of a steep cliff just 9 km from the famous Postojna Cave, Prediyama Castle is a unique karst fortress, a mysterious and defiant archaeological monument of nature, that has dominated the surrounding area at an altitude of 123 meters for more than 800 years and is listed in the Guinness Book of Records It holds records for being the largest cave castle in the world, and behind it there is a network of secret tunnels from which the knight, Erazem, set out on plunder journeys, according to legend.
