Information about Prasat Muang Singh Historical Park
It is an archaeological historical site from the thirteenth century, extending along 880 meters of steadfast walls in this vast site. Located amidst limestone hills, 40 km west of Kanchanaburi city, Muang Singh is believed to have been a succession point for trade along Mae Nam Khoai Noi. The ruins (Mahayana Buddhist sanctuaries, factory-filled city gates) show evidence of Bayon, a Khmer-style carving style of the 12th and 13th centuries. These ruins are interspersed with beautiful natural areas, forming an unparalleled mixture of the charm of nature and the nobility of the past.
