The park is located near the city center, in a unique natural area on the bank of the Vltava River. This zoo, which was opened in 1931, has become one of the best zoos in the world. It is the most visited tourist destination in the Czech Republic, right after Prague Castle. In this wonderful 58-hectare park there are approximately 4,600 animals, 150 galleries and museums on different themes, many different sections such as the Bororo Conservation Department that children will love, a miniature train, a watchtower, and paddling areas . The most distinctive feature of the park is Elephant Valley, which is home to a large herd of Asian elephants. This park is definitely a place to spend a great time with friends and family.
