Porta Pia is an ancient archaeological gate to the city of Ancona that was built in the late eighteenth century at the request of Pope Pius VI as a huge entrance to the city, designed by the architect Filippo Marchionne in the Baroque architectural style, and the gate is characterized by its decorations and reliefs.
