The Tarragona Port Museum is responsible for the preservation and promotion of the maritime heritage and port of the city's coast. The museum was opened in an old warehouse in the year 2000, and the building is ideal to house the museum due to its large size that accommodates all the exhibits, this museum will take you on a journey through the history of the city’s port, from the time of the Romans to the present days, and the history of commercial ports, fishing, marine sports and different species of ships, loading machinery, goods, traditional crafts, and lighthouses.
