Founded in 1895, it began as a tourist area of the city of Braشوفov, the first construction began in 1904. In 1906 it became among the best resorts for skiing and only three years later the first ski competition took place in Romania. In 1951 the venue hosted the Winter Games for international students. Currently the resort is in constant development. Every day there are more and more new locations, increasing the degree of comfort and satisfaction of tourists who choose to spend their vacation at the resort.
