The Podtatranski Museum in Poprad is one of the oldest museums in Slovakia, located in an impressive building built in 1886, and houses a set of permanent exhibitions, the most important of which are the Gánovce Gallery, the only exhibition in Slovakia that allows the visitor to learn about Neanderthals, and the Poprad Gallery in Centuries (Poprad in Centuries) which shows the history of the charming city of Poprad from the mid-13th century to the early 20th century.
