Podlastva Monastery is a medieval Serbian Orthodox monastery located in the village of Ghorbali near the coast of Montenegro about 8 kilometers from the city of Budva. Burned, destroyed and renovated several times throughout its history, the 1979 Montenegro earthquake caused extensive damage and was partially rehabilitated in 1984. This monastery hosted many important spiritual, cultural and political events during the history of this region, and provided educational enrichment during the years that it ran a local school .
